As I'm sure many of you know, in less than 2 weeks I'm going away travelling for 4 months. It's creeping up so quickly and the job of packing has begun.
Not gonna lie, I love getting organised for trips like this. Even if it's going to a festival getting my bag organised has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.
I've been religiously watching and following travel gurus such as Where's Mollie, Backpacking Banana's and Viola Helen but I thought I would do my own spin on it and do a little blog post of all the toiletries I'm taking with me.
I know some of them I probably won't need or use, but for the time being this is a packing list of all my toiletries and makeup.
Makeup:
At various points on our trip the heat and humidity will be unbearable so I'm very certain I won't wear makeup in these places. However, In NZ and Aus I imagine wearing makeup a little more, so I'm packing pretty minimal yet buildable makeup.
-Glossier Wowder Powder
-Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk
-Glossier Balm Dot Com
-Benefit Mascara mini
-NYX eyebrow pencil
-NYX matte lip cream
- Sephora red lipstick (Red lipstick transforms a look. I honestly don't feel myself unless I'm wearing red lipstick. Which is a really interesting concept? I was discussing with a friend of mine how makeup affects people's inherent character so much. For her red lipstick connotes a dirty feeling, but for me it makes me confident and more like myself.?)
-Carmex
-Vaseline *
-L'occitane Perfume in Rose (I took a mini L'occitane perfume with me around Europe and now the smell reminds me of some of my happiest memories, so I hope this perfume will remind me of this trip. It is also the perfume my mum used to wear when she was my age and living in Singapore and Indonesia, so I feel it only necessary to wear the same.)
First Aid Kit:
-Plasters
-Bite and Sting Cream
-Paracetamol
-Ibuprofen
-Rehydration Sachets
-Nail Scissors
-Anti-Septic Wipes
-Vitamin C tablets (for those hangovers)
-Insect repellent
-Tiger Balm
Random:
-SPF Sun Cream (need to get a lot more actually)
-Lemon Tree Source Shower Gel (hack from someone at work who told me mozzies hate the stuff)
- Hydrating Sheet Masks for the plane
-Dove Body Wash *
-Rituals Foot Balm *
Hair Care:
-Percy and Reed mini shampoo and conditioner * (which my lovely work colleagues at M&S gifted me before I left, along with a few other travel minis which I've starred)
-Lush shampoo bar
-Lush Conditioner bar
Plane Bag:
-Mouthwash *
-Toothpaste *
-Hand Sanitiser *
-Micellar Water (need to get more of this actually lol)
I hope this may have been of help to some of you, or for the most part enjoyable. I love seeing what makeup people wear on holiday.
Hope you have a good weekend,
-lexie xo

DeleteGirl loving the new blog layout/design!! Also o..m..g if a post couldn't get me more excited to travel in the near future. I actually can't, this is literally the neatest thing haha. And informative too, you definitely seem like you've got essentials to last a life time - well 4 months at least! I am honestly buzzing for you, safe safe travels and can't wait to hear/see all about it! Also the comment about the perfume being reminiscent of happy memories made me smile, and now I'm going to be on the look out for a nice, staple perfume I can wear on holidays/trips! Lots of luv,
